As long as you can get the drivers for everything, XP will fly on that. If not W7 will be fast too.

A case for $17.99

MOBO:

CPU:
AMD FX-4300 Vishera 3.8GHz (4.0GHz) Socket AM3+ 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor FD4300WMHKBOX - Newegg.com

RAM: (will get another down the road)
Newegg.com - Silicon Power 4GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) Desktop Memory Model SP004GBLTU133N01

I would add a second fan in the side panel of the case since you said it would be sitting under your desk. Increase the air flow thru

This build totaled $230. I just remembered that I'm getting $100 from my YouTube earnings at the end if may. So I'm really only paying $130. Hahah shweet. So I'm going to get another stick of ram 8gb now and an extra fan and maybe the cooler master cooler.
