i tried the MSI OC geni and all it did was raise my base frequency 15mhz..... kinda stupid.
sooo i have my clocks as this. base is 4ghz and turbo 4.2ghz
do you guys think that once i get my cooler that it will be beneficial to keep base at 4ghz and turbo to 4.4 or base at 4.2 and turbo at 4.4? for what i do which is gaming and video editing, would it be good to do or just create more heat and do nothing? the most CPU intensive games i have are BF3 and FC 3. thats really it.
if its not beneficial then im just going to leave it what its at and just adjust the voltage and get it as low as possible.
so overall worth it?
also, my PSU gets quite hot..... like QUITE hot out the back after playing COD.... is that normal?
like i can smell it... its not a burning smell....
also having no issues....
Core Temp shows the temp of each core, the control center does not, that`s why there`s a difference.
so what do you guys think? should i OC further when i get my cooler?
