OK, as a byproduct of having my screen black out, having to do a hard reset, and finding my BIOS set to default ( worrisome to say the least). I had to reset my BIOS settings, accidentally set it to 167Mhz instead of the 166Mhz I had, thus a new OC (ram now at 1666Mhz as well). So I did what any concerned geek would, and grabbed a validation, lol. If it was just a one off occurrence, may try for a higher clock for validation purposes only

Good stuff Bill, it's about time this thread went back on track, sometimes I forget what it's about lol, I am as much to blame as anyone else though and enjoy all the stuff we go off topic about.

I will update the leaderboard later.

i thought the ht and the NB have to be equal. like if the ht is at 2400mhz and the nb is at 2200, the ht will only run at 2200mhz.....? and vise versa. i have a 6350 not 8350.

You're welcome mate
Yeah if you just oc via the multipliers at first it will give you a general idea of voltages needed for certain frequencies aswell as finding your max multiplier oc if you decide to push that much. I found on my system that i needed less voltage when just using the multipliers so my 24/7 oc is just a multi oc. My benching oc profiles are done using a combination of both though as you get slightly better performance when raising the base clock/Fsb.

Nice oc Bill

Thanks all, but to me just changing the BCLK is not noteworthy. If I turned off turbo, and started OCing for real, then it might be

Where's the lowest idle clock thread? LOL

Was just looking through the MB manual, as I said, my BIOS reset to default, I am assuming that I missed a voltage setting. Thanks for asking though

OK, that's better
