Paul, you could at least edit it to where the numbers work out right.

Steve, I'm not sure about that CPU.......I guess you'll have to send it to me for further analysis. I'll send you my address

I may be wrong, but I think they had some issues with early Z68 boards and paid for a huge recall of them. Between me and Steve's pissy luck all the rest of you should be safe.

Paul I would like to try one of the Ivy E CPUs, if I can use your money. I reckon they should do at least as well as the Sandy E's.

Gary, I would wait until some decent user reviews come out. Even the professional reviewers use engineering samples, not what we end up getting, but even with them expect some tech glitches. Even with this Ivy board, I had problems and ended up RMAing it, when I shouldn't have. Asus had a bad bios update, or rather 3 in a row. It took them a while before they could reproduce it, which enabled them to fix it. We went through a lot of problems for several months before it was finally fixed. The problem was it did not affect everyone and the ones it did, affected them in different ways. But, eventually it was fixed. I guess it was just life in the fast lane. But new tech always has it's problems. There's long threads on the ROG forum about it.

When you send it, send a round trip plane ticket with it.

EDIT: Truthfully, I have no idea whether it is stable, good or what. I put it in late today and have only played with it for an hour or so. I'll probably know more in a few days. But, so far it looks like a keeper. But, I will sell you the other one.

Preliminary numbers look great Steve! CPU voltage looks great, and so does the VID and the temps. Looks on par with the new batch of chips some of the guys have...which is much better than ours.

Same thing I thought. My other one took 1.256V to run AIDA or Prime @ 4.5.

Lowest I can get 4.5GHz at stable is 1.240-1.248v. These guys are getting 4.5GHz or better @ less than 1.2xxv
