Not really unless you are going for 5ghz plus and run into issues clocking it any higher.

some people find that it hurts your performace for OCing, and some experience some problems with games when its on and overclocked. i read that its just best to turn it off.

Only turn it off if you are OC'ing and trying to hit really high frequencies. For your regular day to day OC, it needs to stay on, otherwise, what's the point of having an i7?

Kelly's right. If you are going to turn it off, then you should have stayed with an 3570K. Basically hypertreading is the only difference.

again, just stuff that i have read.

When those guys are using exotic cooling to reach crazy frequencies like 6, 7 or 8GHz they will not only turn off HT, but will disable cores as well.......that's the only way they can hit those high numbers.

well, noi that was just for a OC in the 4ghz range...
also whats the difference between CPU-NB and NB for AMD platform?

No clue, I'm not familiar with most things AMD

Anyone think changing HT link and NB from 2400mhz to 2600mhz will gain much performance in games?
