    RAM running slower than advertised

I got this RAM and installed it and it works fine. On the Newegg details tab, it says, "2133MHz with headroom to allow overclocking." My BIOS says the DRAM speed is running at 1333MHz. The setting is set to auto. Is the "2133MHz" a stock clock, or do I have to overclock it to 2133MHz? I have an i7 3770k @3.5 GHz (I will eventually overclock it to 4.6GHz). Does my processor have anything to do with the RAM speed?

XMP may pick up the speed but if not then you'll need to manually overclock it to 2133. With my Bulldozer rig and 2133 the mobo and chip held me back to around 2000+. I'm running a 3770k with 1866 and on my MSi mobo XMP handled it natively.

Look in your BIOS settings, you can set it manually or use xmp with auto or link settings
