I've been running a APC UPS BR1500 for over 10 years and have replaced the batteries only once. With everything under the sun plugged into it it runs for 33-45 minutes at load but not gaming. I try not to leave my system running unattended for more than 30 minutes and if so then with SSD's helping boot so I will always power down.

The ability to put my computer into hibernation whenever there is a power failure is one reason I got the UPS I have. My computer runs 24/7 and I have no desire to shut it down whenever I leave the house (I do shut it down if I go out of town).

Yeah I'm a shut down guy and used to work for a 24/7 guy and I never understood why and finally convinced him to power down all but the server and his workstation every Friday after work.
