Sorry, I thought it was a different model. I was looking at the 1000W Model and noticed no roll bar and Platinum Rating.
Newegg.com - EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 P2 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified 1000W Active PFC ATX12V v2.31/EPS 12V v2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready ECO Thermal Control Full Modular PSU 10 Year Warranty 220-P2-1000-XR NEW Haswell Ready Power Supply

EDIT: that's it Alan. I just missed your link was the Super Nova too. They do have a couple of different models.

The "roll bar" is the least concern. Look at the reviews. A noisy or failed fan is a common complaint.

You can always find people complaining about this or that. I think you have to trust EVGA and a 10 year warranty then reviewers with some grain of salt.....

A little price difference there too. I guess I've just never been concerned about the warranty when I buy EVGA. They're top notch.

Damn that's a nice power supply! Too bad I've already spent enough money on NXZT cables or I might be tempted to get this for my main rig.

Very tempting though, but I don't need this for a backup rig. On the other hand it might be nice to have in case something (very unlikely) happens to my Antec.

Very tempting though

No, it doesn't have to be that brand. That was just one of the first brought up.

And yeah I did read about the fan noise, even in reviews, which is of a concern, especially since my Antec is still whisper quiet after 4 years.

You know I never even knew about EVGA power supplies. Never knew they made any. I now see they not only make some, but get good reviews one them. Nice.
