It's gone a little quiet in here.

I came across this yesterday, if it proves to be true it is not good news for AMD guys.

AMD to drop FX CPUs, move to APUs, suggests leaked slide | bit-tech.net
It's been on the card's for a while really hasn't it I'll just buy another 8350 at some point as a backup because I don't want to move to Intel unless I have no choice.

While it's quiet, I got my Maximus back from RMA and put the 3770K I had back in it. I bought another 3770K for the Sabertooth. Just playing with an overclock and thought I'd see what you guys/gals think about the new one in the Sabertooth.

Well I just bought another Sabertooth and an FX 8350 as I am so pleased with the board I have. (8320 in that one ). My bios was already up to date and could run the silly over powered 9000 chips and I got notification of BIOS 2013 a few days ago which states supports new CPU's so what is going on here?

Support new CPUs. Please refer to our website at: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. -Support- CPU Support
    3,18 MBytes update 2013.11.21
Are they about to surprise everyone and pull something out of the bag?

It's a low voltage beauty Steve, do you think it is as good as your best one? It certainly looks like it!

I haven't tried anything higher than what I posted. But, it seems to be about the same. The VID is slightly lower, but the voltage needed is slightly higher. That may be a difference in boards though. I doubt there is much difference in them. Pretty close to the same, I think.

This is total FUD, it is simply not true. The source is unreliable. Other forums (Overclockers) don't believe it either.

I would never believe anything in the tech world until it has been made official from the company in question.
There are always so many rumors and they tend to quickly get out of hand.

As I always say...time will tell lol.

Steve that one does look like a winner.

As for AMD they stated they would be focusing more on GPU development after buying ATI.

Well it shouldn't matter 2 more years of support all this is saying that they threw in the towel and gave up

I have both makes in question when it comes down to it i could careless because i will always will be upgrading or doing something and it will just make the choices easier and hopefully lighter on the wallet

I really wish they wouldn't charge an arm and a leg for this stuff seeing that phones and all this other stuff we use has gone down over the years because of volume

Solar, I think phones have gone down because of competition. That won't be the case if AMD throws in the towel, just the opposite will happen. Intel will squeeze you for every dime they can get.
