If money isn't a big deal then I would look to Ivy Bridge 3770k or Haswell 4770k the k standing for a overclockable chip if that is what your into or could be down the road. If you want bang for the buck then shopping for the best deals on AMD will net you a killer rig that when full overclocked will benchmark with a i5 or better but will fall short of the i7.

The new Haswell mobo's allow for ram speed up to 3000mhz. Photo rendering will be greatly sped up when adding say 16-32 gb of 2400mhz -2800mhz ram. The Haswell Z87 mobo's a have wicked advances but to be honest better or equal for less can be had with the Z77 Ivybridge mobo's. Give us a budget and are you bringing anything over for your current rig?

bringing anything over? and well all i need is a bundle, of mobo, cpu, fan and ram. i work at maplins and there is a 4 core 3.6 ghz bundle for £200 i get 25% off so its 150 or something which isnt bad,

Eruption Quad Core AMD 3.6GHz + 8GB Memory Motherboard Kit (Used) : Motherboard CPU Kits : Maplin Electronics

how much better is this bundle to the one i got now?

Seriously for rendering that will be more of a bottleneck than a helper

I would go with either a 3770k or non k or I5 3570k that would be a better alternative to what you selected

But if you are interested in using AMD i would go with a FX8350 or FX8320 even FX6350 that would be the best rendering Video choices you would have with AMD

The system that you linked is a APU fushion system which plays low gaming graphics through the CPU

i would get a nice chip and a quality video card for real decent video projects

Would use this one for what you are looking for and this video card to help you edit smoothly

    Novatech Barebone Bundle - AMD FX-8 8320 - 8GB DDR3 1600Mhz - AMD 790 Motherboard - Novatech Tower Case & 750w PSU | BB-83208A

MSI GeForce GTX 760 Twin Frozr IV OC GAMING 2GB GDDR5 | N760 TF 2GD5/OC

    Hard drive i would use this SeagateBarracuda 7200.12 2TB 64MB Cache Hard Drive SATA 6 Gb/s 7200rpm - OEM | ST2000DM001

    DVD drive Samsung 224DB 24x DVD Re-Writer - SATA - Black - OEM | SH-224DB/BEBE

if you want Blu ray you can choose that later on or what ever but i would go with this if you want to really use it for editing gaming this would be good enough to last you a great while
