Right on! the 1tb will hold all of my games/programs. While the 3tb will hold all of my recordings. But I have considered a 4tb and still am.

Good to have a plan. Me I'm a drive whore and I mean that, 12 drives and countless usb, micro and std. sd cards as well as some CF's plus for mobile I have at least (4) 1tb usb drives. Most are 1tb with (2) 2tb and (1) 3tb spinners.

I have ordered 3 of the HDD.15 4TB drives and all 3 have passed rigorous long/short read/write tests and have performed flawlessly since. They make great storage drives.

I would not touch a 4TB drive with a 10 foot pole. Multiple drives is the way to go. And a couple of SSDs - at least 1 for the OS.
