I have gaming quite a lot lately with 4.2GHz and found it quite good, less artifacts and much more reactive during quick acceleration frames in game. Catalyst CC is default settings, i'm only using in game settings.

Wish you good when the mobo will be fixed.

I personally won't use AI SUITE. For me it has never been nothing but a head ache.
Yes and it gives a lot of false readings Centigrade errors and the sad thing about it is when it happens you are way with in range

Every time i use it does some funky crap i mean it works when it isn't being goofy but you will end up dumping it soon enough if you start getting false readings

I used the AI Suite to get the OC that got me into the green part of the leader board. I could find no BIOS settings that would boot above 4800.

Removing Asus AI Suite is not easy. It is every were in your system.
When you think it's gone check the registry and you will be surprised.

If using HWMonitor or its variants I recommend you show hidden icons (bottom right up arrow) right click on AI Suite and exit the program. Otherwise, AI Suite can start giving you misleading warnings.

WOW... The game that i was having THE MOST problems with "Skyrim" is now playing flawlessly! i cranked up the graphics SO much and no its actually playable. getting a constant <60fps. before it would dip below 30 and go as high as 100.... it was bad. so, i see more mods coming! lol

im loving this rig now! cant wait to OC!
