ive ran all the tests, and they all passed and voltages are all perfect. i dident have this problem before the mobo swap. however, i really DON'T think its hardware related. i think its something to do with windows... problem is.... what?

ive ran all the performance and reliability tests in windows, and everything is fine so it says. idk what is to explain this sudden freeze tho.

im thinking i may have to reinstall. but i want that to be my last resort
Memtest will take about 4-5 hours, and it's only been an hour, don't skimp on the tests. You just did a major hardware change, so that is the most logical suspect.

No my AMD board. But the ram hasent changed at all. Same timings speed and voltage. I know its no the ram. I know its no hardware. I know its software wise. I guess it may have been too big of a change. What's weird tho is that I've done that 1000 times with my AMD rig. Swapping the same mobo.

Any other ideas? I'm thinking a reinstall is in order soon.....

So even though the reasons why swapping from AMD to intel using the same OS installation were pointed out - you are now wondering why you're getting niggly issues?

I recall starting with a fresh installation for this very reason.

I thought you replaced the mobo with the same model. If it's a different model mobo you really should do a fresh install.
