Need advice on cpu upgrading

Ok so I thought it over. I think I'll get a mobo first and a chip later. Something around 150 or cheaper if possible that supports my other components that would be the best bang for the buck.


Whats a decent mobo for a fx 8350 around that price? Just asking since I fully don't understand that vrm thing and wouldn't know what to look for .

Kind of pricy for a mobo but anyways I found it cheaper on amazon and I don't have to pay taxes like I do on newegg since i'm in California.

Pretty beast mobo though I don't think I would ever use 32gbs of ram lol. Um I do have two extra sticks of 2gb ram though they are different. Could start using those again. Thanks for the help guys and explaining to me. Ill'l probably get this unless I find something cheaper with similar specs, maybe with taking less ram but same amount of slots could make it cheaper.

Number one rule don't mix and match ram ,It's a must it's all the same or you will have stability issues if you try to overclock

Even if it has same CL and frequency.

Ideally you want all your memory to be the same speed, specs etc.

4 4GB sticks in a set is what you want. 16 GB is plenty and you`ll most likely never have to upgrade. Get the fastest speed you can afford, that your MB supports.

1866 for that board would be fine, but you could probably use 2400 on it, but that costs a little bit more.

I just want to use the ram I have atm. I'll leave my spares out. For now just a mobo upgrade sounds good. I could just add on the some mem brand sticks if I buy some later as long as same ones I suppose but I doubt for now that I will go over 8 atm and the speeds are ok I'll would assume for gaming.

Most definitely recommended. Will last you years and you can add ram, hard drives, SSD, Blu rays, multiple graphics cards, fancy sound cards and so on. Has a 5 year warranty. You can use your existing chip and probably squeeze a little more out of it by using this board. Good Luck Tony.
