    The browns wont be the blues should be. The browns for that keyboard comes with o-rings installed. Here's my greens with heaver then stock keys and no o-rings atm. Also if the keyboard is sturdier with the plate mount (the quickfire is super solid compared to how my still plate mounted rosewill was) then you will get much more noise. Also with blues you can not bottom out if you want, im a heavy typer so my bottoming out is quite loud at times. Vocaroo | Voice message

    Apparently the otemu switches are quieter too. I don't doubt that board is more solid then the logitech one either. Those ebay o-rings are fine and what I had on my rosewill it cuts the volume i'd say in half.

    If it wasn't nice I would of returned it :)
    Probably an hour or 2 work adding the o-rings :/ it's okay ;
    I did get the price match drop in price :)

    Yeah takes about an hour your first time. Make sure you have the type puller I linked so that it does not scratch your keys, and also be wary of supports under the space and shift keys (don't just yank them up) and always pull straight up or you might be replacing a switch like I had to do.

    Here is some neat little testers to help choose what key one wants.
    Personally I use Blue keys.

    Very interesting
    The different color o-rings was kind of odd to me I just ordered the clear just so the lighting wasn't obstructed for the symbols

    The different color o-rings might be why the G710+'s special characters don't appear all that well on it
    Might have to switch a few to see if the characters appear more lit up :/

    I want to apologize for being stupid I did not realize you owned the g710+ I thought you were comparing it against based on reviews. So yours is a blue and it's quieter? I wonder if it's just cherry vs otemu switches then.

    No problem or need to apologize :)
    But this new one does not have any o-rings at all
    The g710+ has black o-rings so it doesn't bottom out and make noise but the lighting does not light up the special characters either very well
    Might just need some new keys for it :/

    The G710+ has Cherry Brown switches, where the G710 has Cherry Blue switches. When I bought my G710+, I had the opportunity to test both the G710 and the G710+ side by side. The G710 sounded like the clackety-clack of an old typewriter compared to the G710+. I don't know why anyone would buy the G710.

    Thrash:

    That's an interesting point you make about the o-rings not allowing the special characters to light up on the G710+. Let us know how your experiment works. I might try it. It's darn hard to see those keys in the dark. You have to memorize where they are.
