Lookin' good, Brian! Nice job on the cable management!
Yeah your right, my bad...I've used my sound Card for more than one year on the black slot x4 (set in bios x2) but went on trouble lately with conflict which was remapping the audio channels constantly, so swapped to regular PCI-E x1 for better stability.
The instruction manual says to prefer x1 or x4 but not x16 because of conflicts of Interrupt Request (IRQ) with the graphics card that could lead to block the entire system or very bad performances, this IRQ conflict gave me a wrong view , at least for the creative Sound Blaster Z.
PS: Conflict started when i changed my HD7770 to R9 270x graphics, thought it was stable at one moment so let in the x4 slot but since i tested a catalyst beta it had messed up the all thing and after removing beta it didn't fix the conflict.
And I don't have a sturdy hand to do the razor method nor want too. It was so easy I was surprised, I did it like the guy in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8SFh4LA_byE in the video he wacks it like three times mine took one. I put tape over my block of wood and vice and had a anti-static bag ready to catch it but all it did was get loose then I could pry it apart.
I've used the razor blade method...it went smooth, couldn't be sure of my hands with the vice method!!!
Yes stuff happens, i almost tried everything to get rid off the conflict.
Did remapped ports the with .inf chipset, reinstalled Intel management interface, reinstalled Rapid Storage, Sound card drivers plus unmount and putted back the Soundcard, uninstalled deeply Catalyst Beta and got rid off Amd lower filter PCI Bus. None fixed the conflict. Thought my PSU on the 12v rail was weak too or my sound card fried.
The best things are worth waiting for :)
Hey that's my card
I wonder though how different it is to the King pin :/
Beside 8gb more stat's for the King pin look better ?
Except for this :/
