Potential New Rig

Hey! I've recently been accepted into the British Army and I'm due to start training in September, After a few months of being in, i should be able to easily afford a new rig. This is along the lines of what i'd want Intel Haswell - Step 6 of 6

CPU Heatsink Corsair Hydro Series H80 (Advanced Liquid Cooling)

Graphics Card AMD Radeon R9 280X OC VAPOR-X - 3 GB - (SAPPHIRE) - (PCI-E)
Motherboard Asus Z87-K (Intel Z87)
Sound Card Motherboard Integrated HD Sound
Networking Motherboard Integrated Ethernet Lan (Broadband Ready)
Power Supply Corsair 750W PSU - Low Noise
CPU Compound Standard CPU Compound Supplied With Heatsink
Case Fans Standard Fans Included With Case
Hard Drive #1 1 TB Seagate (1000 GB) SATA-III HDD 7200 RPM 64MB
Hard Drive #2 120GB Kingston SSD SATA-III, Read 450MB/s, Write 450MB/s - Silent
Optical Drive #1 Samsung 24x DVD/CD Re-Writer/Reader - Black - (SATA)
Operating System #1 Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64 BIT (Genuine DVD & COA Included)
Monitor #1 27" HD LED Widescreen Monitor - Black - 5ms - 1920x1080 - DVI/VGA (FREE 8 GB USB 2 FLASH DRIVE)
Keyboard Logitech (K120) Keyboard Slim with Full Keys - Spill Resistant - (USB)
Free Gift FREE - 16 GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive
Gaming Mouse Razer Abyssus Mirror - Gaming Mouse - DPI 3500 - 3 Buttons - (USB)

Is there anything i could change for the better? or anything i could suffice for a cheaper option? thanks.

If you intend to do some little overclocking, i'd suggest you to look for the Asus Z87-A which is not much priced than the K series. It got 8 VRM Phases and a better support for integrated Audio, could be also a better fan management from the motherboard and the bundle offer is also better.

The Sata ports are sided which is not the case of the Z87-K and could help the cables management a lot! You'll feel more confortable also at upgrading future components.

I would also get the NZXT Kraken X60 cooler over the H80 which fits like a glove in the Phantom series.

Also the Samsung 840 Pro SSD over the Kingston SSD

How much did your spec come to mate? That link takes you to a base unit. Let me know and I'll see what PC Specialist can do in terms of a comparable build price wise.

This is the closest I could get on PCS including Silver Warranty but without the mouse as they don't have it. Nothing in it really.

Nice, not too much difference in terms of price, i was however, thinking that if the next gen of intel processors aren't out by the time i go to purchase this rig, i could hold off until they are, any idea of when they are gonna be released? I'd either be looking at the i5 5670k or i7 5770k. Or who knows i could also look at an eight core AMD FX?

Haswell-E is slated for H2 this year but beyond that I don't know. To be honest, while I have nothing against AMD at all, for that price I'd want an Intel.
