I need an optical drive because I use CD/DVDs. I don't use them often but I do, when installing drivers and that stuff. That optical drive is best buy, the cheapest possible in the store in my country 20$. And a problem, I don't have enough money for an SSD, I know it takes ages to start up windows 7, on my newest PC it takes 10 min, and that's why I never shut it down, I just put it in sleep mode. I'll probably get one but I will see.

    Another question:
What is a good speed for an SSD?

Save up and get a Samsung 840 EVO 128GB and don't look back. The speed difference in the top 20 drives are negligible.

Yes, the 4690k is an i5 and a good choice.

    Intel Core i5-4690K Haswell Refresh Quad-Core 3.5GHz LGA 1150 Desktop Processor BX80646I54690K - Newegg.com - Newegg.com

And why not just get the SSD now, and get the hard drive in awhile, that way you don`t have to reinstall and you can get windows just how you want and enjoy the speed
