Is there a way to print out the content of the Bios?

It would help me a lot if this were possible.

If this is the wrong Forum to post this question, please refer me to the correct one.

Best regards,

On my PC's i can't print from BIOS.
Maybe newer PC's can somehow print ???
I would have to take pictures of bios settings pages, or manually copy my settings ...

Actually it was older computers that could print the BIOS contents. The issue is progression of technology and started with Windows 95. The base requirement was for a printer port/LPT on the computer and a Parallel Port printer which let the PrntScrn function as designed. As we got into USB printers we started losing that ability and Win95 taking over the function of the PrntScrn key, merely copies to the Windows Clipboard for pasting into programs.

Back in the old days printing was a much simpler thing. All that needed to be done was send out the proper series of bytes out to the LPT port and the printer looked after the rest. The BIOS could manage this quite easily without specific knowledge of the attached printer.

Not anymore. Modern printers require complex drivers which look after all the messy details which makes things easy for applications. But the BIOS has no access to these printer drivers and could not use them even if they could be accessed.

Some modern BIOSs have the ability to take a screenshot of the BIOS screen. Most do not. Most people needing an image of the BIOS use a digital camera. Not ideal but that is usually the best that can be done without complex and expensive external hardware.

Modern UEFI BIOS allow you to capture BIOS screenshots as JPEGs and save the to a USB stick.

Yeah that would be the best way to do it.

The use of the Camera will work but with the multiple levels of the BIOS and all the options, YIKES!

I was hoping for a "composite" Image of how the Bios is "currently" set.

Then as I make changes, I would be able to go back if they were unsuccessful.

Perhaps it would be like resetting back to Factory Specs but on paper.

You might call it a personal Base Line.
