    Question on stable clock

I have used asus 4 way optimization and it oc's my cpu to 4.4ghz at 1.25 volts, using prime95 on blend im hitting temps of 95c i sit idle at 39c I understand no program will put the cpu under the same load as prime95 but im still worried if this is to much for processor. Is it safe to trust the asus ai suite 4way oc? If temps get to high will it auto downclock? I have had no system stability issues so far.

Voltage could be a tad high for a 4.4 hence the high temps under load. Likely you can keep the settings as you said not many programs will tax the CPU as hard as Prime, but for example with my 3770k I'm at 4.6 with 1.168v each chip and mobo react differently and all cooling solutions are different. Most members don't do the one button OC approach and prefer the slow methodical adding of settings to finally reach a happy middle ground. Your idle temps are solid and overall your rig is very capable !

Don't use the software to OC. Learn your BIOS and tweak it to your liking. You have a very good build. Have a look at this site.
