    Upgrading my CPU possible?

Was wondering if Upgrading my CPU was possible on this shitty pc.

    AMD Quad-Core A6-3600 (2.1GHz), 8GB DDR3, 1TB HDD, AMD Radeon HD 6530D are my specs.

HP Support document - HP Support Center - Full specs

I have $200 to upgrade my CPU or Graphics card if possible, I don't care about an SSD right now.

Your motherboard has an FM1 'Llano' socket so the highest APU you could put in there is an A8-3870k.

Just running games like CS:GO and Minecraft with medium settings, nothing too big.

I'll let others speak to the best gpu for the buck but my thoughts are to purchase the best graphics card that your 200.00 can buy with the idea that you upgrade the entire rig and transfer that card soon. My issue is the physical space in the case, case cooling as well the psu power to handle a top performing card......will it fit can it cool and will the draw create a issue on the PSU. Another option is to bank the 200.00 and keep saving for a better maybe custom self built rig or maybe a deprecated used rig with better spec's.

This would rock your frames per second world if the power and space would allow it:

    XFX R9-380P-4255 Radeon R9 380 4GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 CrossFireX Support Video Card - Newegg.com

If I sell this pc and some other items I can probably get around $500. Can anyone build me a nice $500 Gaming pc that can run current gen games with medium settings?

    Computer Case

    Mini-tower

    • Height: 36.8 cm (14.4 inches)
    • Width: 16.5 cm (6.4 inches)
    • Depth: 38.9 cm (15.3 inches)
    • Weight: 8 Kg (17.6 lbs) - without packaging
    This is a mid tower,
    Obsidian SeriesĀ® 450D Mid-Tower PC Case

And as small as you'd want for a gaming rig with atx motherboards
500.us for a gaming rig yikes not really unless you trip over one on ebay or something

There are some mini boards but :/
Amazon.com: Asus Z87I-Deluxe LGA 1150 Intel Z87 Mini ITX Motherboard: Computers & Accessories
There's some others on the bottom of the links page 1 for just over 100.us

Bare bones kit's like this can be interesting but you must shop wisely and factor in all the other items like OS, fans, cables, etc.

This is how I got started and I'm on my 14th build, you can do this and we're here to help! I can tell you that nothing compares to the first builds start up and completion. Don't shy from this option, you'll learn tons and a building bug will crawl all over you and you can't wash it off ! haha
