Adding a screen from a broken pc

So i have a old pc that i ripped apart for my current one(ram, hard drive, ect.) And the screen ia working great. So a friend told me i can connect that screen to my pc but i need special wires and stuff buf i dont know what to search for nor what to look for. I searched and all that came out was working pc. So i was wondering if you guys know what cable i need to connect it or letting me know i cant do that. It would be nice if i had a secound scree, i would put my teamspeak there and i would know who connect with out me exiting the game from full screen.

There's 2 basic issues, one is if the screen/LCD Flat Panel connects to the motherboard through an inverter device or if the inverter function is on the motherboard itself. Once that is determined one might be able to concoct a cable to connect to a VGA port on the other computer. Then the matter of the inverter would have to be solved.

From a practical standpoint it would be better to simply get a low-cost or used external monitor to plug into the VGA, DVI or HDMI port on the Notebook.

I have come into possession of a fine HP Notebook with a damaged screen due to falling but it works fine connected to an HDMI monitor I was given.
