Its not really a gaming PC its going to be used to run the visuals on my cockpit displays the small LCD you see in cockpits. So no great performance is needed for the 2nd PC.

But i'm stuck at what processor to get. You guys have alot more experience than me picking the correct hardware

Doesn`t matter if it`s not going to be a gaming PC, you still need a good video card for your purpose.

The items you picked out are old.

    If you were to stick with a Z97, I`d get a 4690

    Intel Core i5-4690 Haswell Quad-Core 3.5 GHz LGA 1150 84W BX80646I54690 Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 4600 - Newegg.com

    and a 4GB 960

    EVGA - Products - EVGA GeForce GTX 960 4GB SSC GAMING ACX 2.0+ - 04G-P4-3967-KR

Ok thanks i'll get that MB. I'll be putting my GRX780 in that MB anyway once i get my TITAN X. The reason i'm going for the old GPUs, is - my LCDs for my Cockpit are VGA outputs so need convertors. Display port are useless? Or are they for VGA?

    You mean VGA input :)

You can use a Display Port to VGA adapter or cable to use the Display Port ports. Personally, I would use a cable.

Ok brilliant i'll go for a newer GPU and add my GTX780. Is it correct that the VGA input from a LCD wont work on the GPU DVI D

The connections on the GPU and Monitor must be the same or you can buy an adapter, example would be a DVI to HDMI.
