I'm sure it would help the VMs a lot. And it would be fantastic if there were external drives that could write that fast. You're right, the potential is there. But, they are going to have to innovate things to use the bandwidth. Vms, Games would open faster, Photoshop would open a lot faster. I would imagine you could install Windows 10 in about 3 minutes. I did it in 7.5 minutes once. So, I think it would have it's advantages. I guess it's just is it worth the money for those things. Now, if you had a server board and could raid a dozen of them, that may be something really fun to watch.

BSOD on fresh skylake computer build
I'm using windows 7 at the moment and only have chrome and steam installed. I'm using a wireless adapter that may or may not be the cause of the crashes, anyways here is the dump files if anyone could analyze them.

Skylake processor SKUs leaked
Not official, but here is the pertinent graphic. Slated for an August launch. Time to rebuild with Win 10, to be released just about the same time. There's some unofficial benchmarks out there already if you want to pound on Google. Probably from engineering samples.
