    CPUID showing weird jumps ?

Okay I thought this was weird
Very weird fluctuations in readings going on every few seconds :/
    Is this normal
I believe the bios is set to default and the mode at Normal instead of power saver or OC...
This is on a new install of win-7 Pro which I do not remember if this was happening on the original 7 home premium install which I also clean installed it too last week

I know if you enable AMD Cool 'N' Quiet feature in BIOS it will actually throttle CPU and it will perform same like yours - frequency jumps. And seeing that your voltage drops I would say it is probably Dynamic frequency scaling. That's pretty normal.

Check if you enabled similar feature on your motherboard.

AMD Cool 'N' Quiet also causes stutters in games so that might be a clue if you have similar feature ON.

Also try running prime95 or similar software and monitor freq and voltage,prime95 will make cpu load 100% and freq/voltage jumps should not occur.

Thanks I switched to asus optimal and it was pretty close on the lower reading just a tad higher but the jump was a lot more,

I checked on home premium and I did have some net frame work updates
Before loading them everything was pretty stable at the prior high reading in post 1 or 2
So these net frame work updates did something :/

    Hmm.
    I find this pretty normal.
Anyway;do you have any power saving mode on?Do this jumps impact on your systems performance.
I highly suggest you do prime95 test.

Disable Intel speedstep technology - basically when there's no need for high cpu freq ,it will downclock it to save you power and reduce heat, with this disabled cpu speed will always be on same value.

    Thank again
I have no idea what Prime 95 is but I'll try out disabling the enhanced feature I just find the jumping very weird I was really wondering if Steve sees the same jumping or what he has things set at we both have asus boards and the same cpu

Oh,Prime95 is cpu stress-testing software. It very useful for check overclocks or cpu stability.
I suggested it because it should keep your freq at max because load is max (100%).If you would see freq drops then something might be wrong.

    PS.
    I'm glad I could help.

Okay I see what the issue was seems to be just the performance power plan in windows making it jump like that
I switch to balanced and everything stabilizes to the minimum readings of all prior screen shots +-..
Very strange a performance power plan would allow spikes like that instead of just hitting the high and staying there :/
