unlocking 4th core..

i already unlock the 4th core but didnt get the 4th core ? why i did get it ? can help me ? sorry for bad english

Good luck.

I only have dual core so I open msconfig
Boot tab
Advanced
check box for Number of processors
drop down 2
Highlight 2
Hit OK
Any changes done in msconfig needs a system restart to proceed.

hwmonitor causing bsod after resetting cmos/unlocking processor core
I unlocked my amd athlon II x3 445 to a phenom II x4 b45... I ran hwmonitor to see the temps, and my computer blue screened. I figured it was unstable because of this and reset the cmos in order to set it back to an athlon II x3. I set the bios settings to fail safe defaults and loaded up windows....
