You could just get some hard drive trays. Secure the trays to the wood and then just install the hard drive in the tray. Velcro will mount a ssd any place you desire.

I doubt there is just one best way but an easy one that would look sanitary would be to get some aluminum angle cut to the length of the drives. Mount one leg of an angle to each side of a drive, then screw the angles down to the desktop through the other leg of the angle on each side of the drive. Rounding off the corners of the angles would give them a more professional look. If the legs of the angles are wide enough, you can elevate the drives a little bit off the desktop so air can flow on both sides.

Superglue is too brittle and will eventually crack and let go. Hot melt glue probably would work for the SSD but is rather permanent. However, since HDDs do develop some heat, the hot melt glue would eventually soften and let go. I personally would never use hot melt glue for anything permanent.

Velcro is another option frequently used for mounting SSDs. The Velcro allows the drives to be easily removed and replaced. The adhesive usually used on the back of Velcro would loosen up a bit on the HDDs due to heat but, since the HDDs are lying flat, it probably wouldn't be a problem. I learned about the adhesive the hard way. I mounted a couple of TV tuners on a closet wall and the tuners started to slowly creep down as the heat softened the adhesive. I had to put a wooden cleat under the tuners so the Velcro could hold the tuners without them creeping down.

But, I noticed one problem with the PSU. It has 120mm fan from the bottom, and there will be problem with positioning it. If I put it downside ( as it need to be), I'll need to make one more cut for it, to take fresh air... :/

Today I got 3 CM Sickle Flow coolers, not Jet Flow. They are 2000 rpm and in green color. With them, I'll just put it on the side parts to mark them, and will make a little test to see how air will they pull out... Will update the thread later/tommorow, and also with some picture. :)

    Edit:
Yesterday night, started to work a bit...

Here are fans, and they will be positioned like this:

One extra photo, with that alien green light.

This week parts will be cutted propertly. I just need to make a decition for a PSU and positioning it bellow the motherboard.

Plan's have changed, I got 4x120mm Deep Cool Gamer Storm fans with 1800 rpm. I'm really surprised for this fans, because there are twice cheaper than jet flow's and they come with silent screws.

I'll put metal grills, probably from the outside and fans will be mounted on it.

Tomorrow I'll go to talk with "the guy" and will post again what he told me.
I hope that this project will be finished until the end of the month. :)

    Boshko.
