    Zotac GTX 970 Overclock Help

I have a Zotac GTX 970 4GB AMP! Extreme Core Edition video card, I'm new when it comes to this stuff but I want to get the performance for my buck. Any tutorials for this card? I am currently using MSI Afterburner 4.2.0 and Heaven benchmark.

You're not going to get much of an OC out of that card as long as you use the stock cooler. If you use water cooling, you're likely to do better.

Keep in mind, that card is already OC'd right out of the box. There isn't a lot of headroom left for a substantial OC. The performance gains that you get will be negligible. Read: 1 to 3 FPS as a guess.

Also, before you start: Can you afford to replace the card if you fry it?

What water cooling hardware you recommend? I can afford a replace card but not as high-range as this one.

    Hi,
    See if this helps
    NVIDIA GPU Overclocking

You shouldn't have to have liquid cooling just proper ventilation
    Monitor the temperatures with this
Download Real Temp 3.70 | techPowerUp

GPU's are already are the hottest item in the case depending on the fan profile which the tutorial will show you :)

Oh update your system spec's too.

Then should you really be overclocking it?

    Just a thought...

It's all good clean fun :)
It's the benchmarks that are all over the place with weird results that make little to no sense some times
