That connection is for the rear exhaust fan speed controler switch on the rear.

I believe this is the one you need to connect to the power supply and to that connection

Either way the power supply should have the cable you need for it.

Nettlewarbler - I've looked at the video and Thrashzone is correct, it's a fan speed controller.

Your psu will have a 24 pin connector for mobo power, 12V connectors for cpu (and often gfx card), some sata leads for HDD and DVD and possibly some 4 pin molex. Normally, case fans are either plugged into the motherboard or (older) into a molex connector in the psu harness. Your case seems to have a manual fan speed control that goes between the case fans and the harness - plugs into one of the sata connectors.

You don't have to use the fan controller - you could plug the case fans straight into the mobo -but some folk like to turn up the airflow when gaming, converting video etc, and down for quiet normal use.

edit - apologies if my 1st reply was a bit flippant.

Hi indeed I would just let the mother board control all the fans and not worry about the switch on the rear of the machine.
The mother board bios is perfectly capable of adjusting as needed fan speeds :)

My motherboard is an msi Z97 PC Mate . I took some photos of the leads left in the Power supply box if any ones interested . ( i'v been trying without success to install Sony Cybershot Play Memories Home , quite a few people have been having trouble trying to download and install it from the website they list in the booklet. I had to install it from this one is from someone who kindly listed an alternative site . ). Anyway can any of these leads be used to act as an adapter lead to the Sata leads on my computer , I hope you can understand this message . Thank you very much . Sorry I cant upload the photos , I think they're too big some are about 4mp in size . I think it says 2mp max for jpg files , have to go now . Goodbye .

    Hi,
