We are starting ti see the big SSDs now. For the OS they are too big and for data storage they are too expensive. I guess they will be interesting for gamers with a lot of big games. But for backing up large anounts of data (e.g. an image) I prefer my 1TB SSHD that I bought for under $90. That is about as fast as the SSD (for that specific data streaming application).
Right, with the Egg you have to watch out. They do all kinds of tricks to make you buy. They shower me with 2 or 3 email 'specials' per day - and many are really not that special.
Shipping fees is another problem. Yesterday I wanted to buy a $19.95 mouse and they wanted $5.95 for shipping. I did, of course, not order it.
Egg specials are normal prices - but every once an awhile, they have great prices on power supplies.
Newegg has MBAM Pro, Lifetime for $9.00 with coupon EMCPWPA35
This is 70% off, it is available for download also. The price only shows in your cart after adding the code.
It's the lowest price I have ever seen for this. Exp: 1.13.14

I just checked the link I posted this morning and the price for MBAM has amazingly increased $20. to $49.99 and with the code it is now$15.
What are they trying to pull here ?
Newegg always pulls these tricks. I got a feed this morning where they were offering 10% off for SSDs - but in the meantime they had raised the prices for those SSDs by 15 to 20%.
You really have to watch out - but sometimes you can find a pearl. Like yesterday morning they had a 120GB SSD (Kingston) for $69. But you had to be on the site at 3AM EST because later they were sold out.
