    Sandybridge and HAF X

I was planning to buy corei7 system but Intel has released Sandybridge CPU.

I can see that a separate GPU is not required for corei7 2600. Should I still buy a NVidia GPU like GTX 470.

I am planning to buy HAF X. So if I am not investing for GPU then side intake fan will blows on the bottom of MOBO which I feel is irrelevant.

If you wish to game, then yes. Although a 570 would be a better option than a 470.

The IGP is only DX 10.1 compliant and is not aimed at the 'gaming market'.

If simple GPU tasks are required (light gaming, HD content playback etc, then the IGP shall suffice)

The build in graphics is essentially just motherboard level graphics, not up to gaming.

Wicked case. Got one myself! It wasn’t my first choice but I’m glad I picked it over the Corsair Obsidian despite that I prefer the aesthetics of the Corsair over the HAF X. Tons of room and the cable management is great! However some may find that their 8 pin power cable may not reach the motherboard if routed through the back of the case. Easy fix with a $5 extension.

They supply you with an extension cable that should be long enough to reach.

You got an extension cable with your case? Hmm…maybe I should look through the box again!

So are you saying it was missing parts???

Call the vendor and let them know. You can also call Cooler Master and see if they're willing to send you a replacement part.

I picked up my case for $170 CAN from a local store; I’m not too worried about a $5 missing cable….if it is missing! I’ve got everything else in the picture!

I used an older PSU when I first put the PC together. Even the ATX power cable was too short if routed through the back. So it was a hack job until I grabbed a newer PSU, which was the plan! I probably got the cable, just put it aside and forgot about it. Will have to have look.

Great case none the less…extension cable or not!
