    [Question]Safe Temperature

Well, have just bought Acer TimelineX 4820TG.

Just want to know, what is the safe range of temperature for the cpu and gpu?especially during gaming.

Mine reaches a maximum of 90 degree celcius,is that normal?I feel hot on my resting palm on the laptop~kinda worry~

For CPU, it should be under 60. For GPU it should be under 70 or 75 atleast.

Normal?? That's totally ABNORMAL. You'll ruin ouir card with that temps. If you've overclocked your card, reset it to default. Overclocking increases card's load and temp. make sure you've proper cooling. Don't game with that temp (90C) ever.

While 90 does seem more than a bit high, read the article.

On a Notebook like this, you can lower the temp by about 10F with a coolpad: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....egories&ks=960

That 90°C the GPU or CPU? Laptop on a hard flat surface or sitting in a lap?

Also you can get an idea as to what kind of temps to expect on it from here (as well as what kind of performance to expect),
