4. Built what seemed to be a reasonable specced PC to see if I was fully capable (had tinkered before). Now I'm minus the money from that and desperately want to build an amazing i7 machine (hopefully sandy bridge will have been replaced by the time I have the money).
It's running excellent. I am still on the original Win 7 Ultimate 64bit install from August of 2009 with no issues swapping out the motherboard, proc, and ram.
Went from an Intel Q6600, Asus P5Q Pro, and 8GB DDR2 to an i7 870, Asus P7P55D-E, and 16GB DDR3.
Also swapped video cards as well, from a GTX285 and 9600GT to an ATI HD5850.
2. Great!
Upgraded to a Sandy bridge build. Everything seems to working well with Seven.

Well, I would have thought that starting with a sandy bridge i7 is rather an expensive starter, but I suppose you do own a money pit
I love my Windows 7 x64, but my Patriot Torqx 128GB SSD just died. I'm RMA'ing it right now.
Other than that, I spent a good month researching my system to make sure there are no bottlenecks--my system is pretty spectacular for two things: running VMs (I dual-boot Win7 Ult x64 and Server 2008 R2) and killer games. I am very happy with my AMD x6 and my ATI 5830. Might get another for some Crossfire action
Mines working great the 64bit Windows 7 Pro is a rock, but the 60gb SSD I personly think too small, and often worry about installing anything other than OS office, browsers etc, and for some reason I cant get corel x3 to run at all, crashses, just the app though no blue screen or nothing.
