Windows 7: CPU-Z not showing Full CPU Power

27 Jul 2010   #11

Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1

This is very common for the latest processors. What you need to do is put the CPU under a load and then run CPU-z. Run Prime95 or something like that in the background, and then check your processor speed. Most likely, you'll see the full speed. No need to worry, no need to return is normal.

Windows 7 64 bit

Well I already sent the CPU back to AMD. It is still under warrenty. I did a Burn Test with it and there were some errors. Something like not reading ram or something. I sent it out fedex. I just wanna hear what they are gonna say. The CPU was like $180.00 so we will see. Maybe I will get a new one.
