CPU-Z not showing Full CPU Power

I have an AMD 9550 BE 3.2 MHZ and Cpuz and another utility only showing 800mhz.

I just updated bios lates version from asus. anyone know what else could it be?

It should show 3.2 mhz and everything else in bios is set for auto for cpu.

Appears your CPU throttle itself while not engaging in any hard work. This reduces heat and electricity draw.
But don't worry when you need all the might of your CPU it instantly kicks in.

Since this is Asus, check to see if you have Power Gear Hybrid

Phenom 9550? If so and unless you overclocked it, don't be looking for 3.2 GHz as it is only a 2.2 GHz chip,

If it was swapped into the Compaq in his specs, I would be more inclined to be looking at Cool and Quiet than any Asus utility.

Nothing is wrong, just power management doing its job.

That weird cause all the other times I did it, it was stable at required core speed. I uninstalled cool and quiet and EPU engine. I ran a Burn Test and did get some errors though. The chip is still under warrenty, so I am goin to send it back. Regular internet surfeing or just using the computer, I dont get any lag or anything. I dont understand it.

Maybe the sensor is bad. did it ever change? it might have default of 800mhz and hasn't changed from that value even though cores are actually running faster.

(Edit: I have no idea how the sensor works for hz. or if there is one? I know there is one for temps)
