    sfc /scannow

I recently ran the "sfc /scannow" in command prompt and after scanning this message appeared:
    Verification 100% Complete.
Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files bt was unable to fix some of them.
Detials are included in the CBS.Log windir/logs/cbs/cbs.log. For example C:\Windows\Logs\cbgs\cbs.log

I am running Windows 7 Home 64 Bit

Download Seatools and use it to check all hard drives, or whichever one you scanned already. Your hard drive may be developing bad sectors. If they are, you can use HDTune to see how many, if any, are bad.

Save everything from the drive to an external disk and replace the drive. If you want to know more details of what was in the cbs.log, run this command in an elevated cmd:

    findstr /c:"[SR]" %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log

What if I can't get any files off that drive? File copy's hang for hours.
