Redirecting Folders in 7

I want to move some of my program folders off of my system disk onto a raid 0 disk, for performance's sake. This was easier to do in past Windows OSs, not so much now. Any clues? I am using Windows 7 HP, and the installs do not offer a choice of directory.

Thanks whs. I was hoping for something a bit less involved. Always have to wonder why Windows drops options from updated OS.

Hope the Schwarzwald is treating you well. It's hotter than blazes here in FLA.

Less involved would be to copy your files back and forth (to an extra partition or an external device). That is, of course, the easiest. Just make sure you disconnect your HDD during the SSD install. Else you get into this double boot scenario which will make it difficult to get rid of the old OS (because of the shared MBR).
Here it is winter - at least the last 2 days. Between 50 and 60F.
