    Delete everything in $Recycle.Bin

    Is it safe to delete all files in the $Recycle.Bin folder?

    The recycle bin should be emptied from time to time. But that is your last chance to make sure you do not need those files any more. Else you can always restore them at this time. But once the recycle bin is emptied, they are gone.

    Sorry, I should have made myself more clear.

    The situation is, there are not any files that are visible in the recycle bin in windows. However, if I look at the contents of the $Recycle.Bin folder (using Linux for example), there are actually loads of files there. I'm wondering if I can just do e.g.:

    Code:
    rm -rf $Recycle.Bin/*
    and that it won't mess up my computer.
