    Slowing down.

Just lately it's been getting pretty damn slow, had it installed for maybe a month, still using 7068. 70gb HDD free so its not a space issue, defrags run daily as with virus scans. Firefox gets laggy when scrolling down websites and boot times have gone to crap. Anyone know what I can do to fix it up a bit?

    Hello Monga,

You can use most of the same items in the tutorial below for Vista to help with Windows 7 as well.

    Hope this helps,

Have you used the task manager to view processes? Better yet install something like Process Monitor for a comprehensive view of what's eating memory and CPU cycles. Regarding slow boot, you may have programs autostarting that you don't need. And what apps are you using for security?

Malware bytes anti malware. Detects most things and has an on access scanner.
