Question about automatd tasks & autoshutdown

I am wondering, is it possible to have the computer turn on by itself at some time, preform disk defragmenter, and then shut down when it is complete? If so, how would I do this?

And one more thing, is there a way I can make an icon on my desktop to start and stop an automated shutdown/hibernate? I know I had two shortcuts in XP that started a countdown for system shutdown, and another to abort that shutdown.

    Thanks.

Also, why does firefox think "defragmenter" is a spelling error?

Alright. For hibernate shortcut, will it start a countdown? For example, I start a video to render, and I know it will be done within three hours. Is there a way to make it hibernate in 3 hours?

Unfortunately, these short cuts are not timed. I thought that it might be a good starting point, until you find something more suitable for your needs.

    Alright, thanks :\

Now about starting up for tasks.. if I schedule a task through disk defrag itself, will my computer boot to preform the task, and then stay on, correct?

The task scheduler will wake your computer to perform a task, it will not boot the computer.
