Curious About Gaming Temp For Laptop
Hi guys :),
Just wondering what is the normal/ideal temperature for gaming laptop. Wanna make sure that my lappy is not overheating. Here's my spec.
Acer Aspire V3-471G
Core i5 2450M 2.5GHz, 3M L3 Cache
Nvidia 630M GeForce GT 630M
6GB RAM
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit
I use cooler for my lappy. Idle temp is around 40c-60c (browsing/music/video and such). While the gaming temp is somehow scared me off. 80c-90c (GPU Temp) and 90c-100c (CPU Temp). I play lots of latest games like Battlefield 3, Crysis 2, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3, Max Payne 3, Batman Arkham City, Prototype 2 and many more. Even it's hot, the performance is quite decent. Never had fps drop, most game can get 40-60fps at standard settings. It's just the heat scared me.
I've been googling a lot about this topic, some said it's normal for my lappy model. Last week I dissemble my lappy and check the dust. Seems normal no dust, so I cleaned up a bit. Checked the thermal status, pretty much okay also. There is something bugging me too. The fan seems slow, only can feel little air buzzing out. The only time the fan gets active is when gaming. When gaming reach 80c-90c then if I pause the game, then the fan started to cool it off with strong air current came out.
Tell me you guys opinion about this. Whether should I replace thermal (I check some topic they said, even after replace new thermal still same results), or use fan control utilities, or it's acer default faulty? I don't know. Give me your thoughts.
