    Can't stay asleep.

My laptop never gave this problem before, but when I close the lid down or click on sleep, it wakes up after 1 second. There is no way to keep it asleep, I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. Any ideas on why this keep happening?

But on a more serious note sleep problems is really a process of elimination, if you click on the attached link Brink has put together a great tutorial that will walk you through the process.

Hope this helps. It is probably the best place to start.

Ok guys back to reality. Its a process that does not shut down completely.
The problem is to find which one. Go to start, type in event viewer and try to see what was the problem when your computer woke up. Ok guys my turn.. Do you live in a noisy neighborhood?

It seems to sleep fine when it is unplugged from the AC, but when it's plugged in, it wakes up right after.

Is there any other problem that cause it to not sleep when plugged in? I check my power plan, it's the same for when it runs on battery. This is a weird problem indeed.

There are probably other causes, but this is rare, to me it has to be cause by the electric power. You said the power plans are identical. Then it should work in the same way.
