build 7100 disable expiration
Is there anything out yet for disabling the expiration on the 7100 build? Starting June 1st it will be turning off every 2 hours.

Hello Blindkilla,
If you mean 2009, then activating Windows 7 with a product key number will stop it.
If you mean 2010, then only purchasing and installing the retail version will stop it.
Hope this helps,
Shawn
I mean june 2009, so if its activated windows 7 wont turn off?
Correct. By default, you have a 30 days trial before having to activate Windows 7, or Windows 7 goes into a reduced functionality mode on the 31st day.
If you have a free Windows Live ID or Hotmail account, then you can get a Windows 7 RC product key number for free directly from Microsoft at the link below. After you select the language and version of Windows 7 to download and fill out the form, you will get a product key number.
Windows 7 Release Candidate Customer Preview Program
Hello:
I acquired a computer running windows 7 beta 7100 copy. I was reading a few threads on the OS expiring on the first of July. Also that some the the tattletale signs of the OS expiring will be the water make at the bottom, and the sendfeed back link at the top. Well I do have the watermark at the bottom but I don't have the sendfeed back link at the top. I saw that there was a way to remove it throught the regedit.exe I checked in the reg and I do not see that fix made. I all so did not see any patch installed to remove that feature. Since that link is not there was was wondering if the "timenuke" from windows was disabled. can anyone help?
Hello Jonibluis, and welcome to Seven Forums.
Yes, it will still expire and stop working in July. This is hardcoded into the pre-release versions and cannot be changed.
