If reimporting the registry file does not work, then run a Repair Install which reinstalls the OS (including Registry) while keeping all programs, files and settings in place. I don't think it will reimport bad registry edits.
OK thanks guys for all the insight and help....1st I'm going to try the Registry Import...before any tinkering I did export the complete registry to an external USB drive.

    The drive letter is: O
The exported complete registry is: NoHP-9-20.reg

In the tutorial recommended by Bill2 it says the following:

    5. In the same command prompt, type regedit /s "full path to saved .reg file" and press Enter. (See screenshot below)
NOTE: For example, I only have Windows 7 installed with the 200 MB system partition it created during installation. I saved my Registry Backup.reg file to my desktop on the D: drive (from step 3), so I would type:
    regedit /s D:\Users\User-Name\Desktop\Registry Backup.reg
and press Enter. Your file path will vary of course.

Would my correct command line prompt be regedit /s O: NoHP-9-20.reg ?

Or should I rename my backup (NoHP-9-20.reg) and is so to what file name...?...and is there a space between O:spaceNoHP-9-20.reg or no space ? ( "O" drive in attached jpg)

    Thanks much...TR
