Forgive the noobishness.. but i take it if i'm on build 7000 i need to download the newer builds and install those?

Also if i need to do that, i take it i can update and not lose all my stuff?
    Hi and welcome to sevenforums.

You can go directly (and quickly) to microsoft and download a much newer build. Better do it quickly because vers 7000 is going to time out On 8/1/2009.

On another matter you should probably have started a new thread rather than replying to this one. more ppl will see it and you will get more accurate responses. Not to worry everbody's first post is usually a doosie (mine was)

    Hope this helps

    Ken

going back to the thread, i also confirm that enhancemyse7en is best avoided!

i prefer the ultimate windows tweaker - lightweight yet powerful! works with x64 too!

Has anyone used the tweaker application? Are there any reviews of it online?

now you're jogging my memory - my post above came from july 2009.

you could try googling for reviews...but i don't remember it doing any harm when i used it back then.

Oh, so you haven't used it since then? After looking at their Web site, I don't see any updates since May 2009 either, so maybe it's abandonware. That's a shame as I'm tweaking my Netbook and a tool like that could make things simpler.

While it still may work ok, I'd rather see something that is in live development to get the warm fuzzy that if any bugs have come up, they have been addressed.
