recieving my SSD in 3 days

Anything I need to know about Windows 7 64bit installation before installing it on my upcomming SSD?
Any tweaks that helps performance when running Windows 7 from a SSD?

Hello Sven,

Windows 7 installed on my SSD without any issue or having to do anything elase with it.

You should turn off the Disk Defragmenter schedule though since you do not want to defrag a SSD hard drive.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Hello Icenine,

If you can wait a few months, the prices are suppose to drop when some newer and faster SSD's are released.

yeah,
i'm hoping.
probably just in time when 7 goes RTM and we get final builds. i got spoiled using SSD from building a couple of high executive laptops at work. you know they need to have the latest and greatest.
SSD is SICK though. It is true what they say. You will not miss it unless you have used it. After setting up a couple of systems, when going back to a regular sata drive you think windows is broken because it takes so long to boot. Don't even get me started on application installation and launch.
