System Restoration caused Windows to be uninstalled

I had a virus that completely took over my computer. After a great effort, I was finally able to get the computer to start up in safe mode. At this point, I uninstalled everything I could, moved every infected file to the vault and after all of this did nothing to solve the viral problem, I elected to do a system restore back to factory settings. However, after the restoration process was complete, the computer did its restart as usual, but after it said setup is starting services, I get the message "Windows could not complete the installation. To install Windows on this computer, restart the installation." If I click "ok", it restarts the same message just continues to come up. I am really hoping that one of you guys out there will have The Answer for me, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you so much,
    Paige

You may need to optimize your drive for new installation:

SSD / HDD : Optimize for Windows Reinstallation

    Clean Install Windows 7

It sounds like you ran the Factory Recovery from the special partition which comes with factory-installed Windows, or from disks you previously made from that partition or came with computer.

DId you run Factory Recovery from Recovery disks or from by booting in using the key to Run Recovery?

Did it give you any options before starting the Recovery?
