Autochk cannot run

I don't know if this is the right fourm, but I have an issue. I have a new pavilion dv4 laptop I purchased not even a year ago. One day, when I started my computer up it said that "Autochk cannot run due to a recently installed program...". This happened every time I started up my pc. Finally, the message went away. 5 months later, it happens again. So now I want to solve it. I have a security program and I have searched on its setting for anything about disk checking but unfortunately, I found nothing. Please help!

Best regards,
jhansen965

What AV (AntiVirus)program do you use? Try this:

Start> In search box, type cmd> Right click on cmd.exe in results above and choose Run as administrator

In command prompt type

chkdsk /r

Note the space between chkdsk and /r

If problem persists, uninstall the AV program, repeat the steps, and reinstall AV and update
