    Another slow boot problem


    Well first I'll say HELLO!!!


    Ok so I have a brand new install of the RC
    It is loaded on a I7 920 gigabyte x58 ud4p mb /12g ddr3 1600 ram /raid 5 set up with a rocketraid 2640x4 /4 wd 32m cache 640gb hard drives and It takes forever to boot from power button till log in screen 2.5 min approx

    Hi I7ER and welcome to our forum! :)
    Please provide a little more info...

    1. Version of Win7
    2. Upgrade from Vista (version) or clean install?
    3. Make of your computer (Dell, Sony, Toshiba, etc)

    Anything else that might be relevant to help us provide help for your slow booting problem.

    whats your A/V i was running Kaspersky and had the same thing on my Laptop, now using esetNod32 and that issue is resolved

    you could try this...

    Click the start button / windows button and type in "system configuration" in the search box

    Go to the Boot tab

    Select your OS from the list below and then choose "Advanced Options"

    Check the boxes "Number of Processors" & "Maximum Memory"

    That should help you boot faster

    well.. it worked for me :)

    I just downloaded the latest rc last week. It is a clean instal on a home built system see above ^
