There are times when the Task Manager just can't kill a process of a program after it crashes or closes, and the only alternative that I know is to reboot. Is there any program available for the purpose of killing processes that is more effective?
You could try MS's Process Explorer.

Or Process Hacker. Seems to do the job for me always.

Or you could always logoff and back on, instead of a full reboot.
Just use the Taskkill command. Heres a description of the syntax.

Thanks, I have tried both Process Explorer and Process Hacker, which didn't fare any better than the Task Manager, but using the force kill procedure in your Task Management link did.
